The Classic Dress pattern from Creations By Michie features two collar styles which may be trimmed with piping or lace. The front yoke or the square collar is the perfect place for hand embroidery or machine embroidery.
The skirt can either be gathered or smocked. Hand embroidery designs and smocking design is included. Detailed Instructions with clear illustrations.
This pattern is appropriately named Classic Dress and is a "must have" for your pattern collection. Every little girl needs several dresses made from this pattern. Fancy or plain, winter or summer, you'll find yourself using this one many times.
For a late spring or summer birthday, use Dotted Swiss fabric for the dress and Swiss Batiste for the collar. The birthday cake design (included) would be so cute hand embroidered on the collar, how adorable!

Recommendation: It is advisable, whenever possible, to purchase your pattern first, before buying your materials. This allows to you plan your project so that you can order the correct amount of materials needed.
Suggested Fabrics: Pima Cottons, Imperial Batiste, Linen, Gingham, Featherwale Corduroy.
Use 1/4 Inch wide baby lace to trim the Peter Pan collar or use mini-piping.
