Vintage Round Yoke: Circa 1940 - Love and Stitches
This nostalgic round yoke dress pattern includes Debbie Glenn's interpretation of circa 1940 Menton Estate Dress, plus two additional variations.
No set in sleeves for extended wear and easy construction! Embellish the yoke with scallops, embroidery or shaped lace.
View 1 is the Menton Estate Dress that was featured in Sew Beautiful magazine #74. Tiny machine corded scallops, delicate floral embroidery, bodice pintuck, embellished sash tails and a pinstitched scalloped hem.
View 2 is Sweet Scallops. Corded scallops and granitos trim the pique peter pan collar, elongated round yoke and cuffs. A contrast corded scallop hem and a full bow sash will add to the vintage look.
View 3, the Lacy Heirloom Dress has shaped and gathered lace that encircles the organdy yoke. Entredeux and gathered lace trim the neckline and sleeves. You can select round or elongated yoke. Hemstitched scalloped hem.
Fabric Suggestions: Swiss batiste, cotton lawn, pima cotton, pique, organdy, linen, dimity.
