French Acadian Christening Gown, Bonnet and Slip

french acadian baby gown

From Old Fashioned Baby!

This beautiful gown and bonnet are styled like the ones sold in the New Orleans Baby shops in the early part of the 1900's.

Originally made all by hand, the instructions for this pattern include both hand and machine techniques.

There are two variations of the same gown in this pattern. One gown includes hand Hemstitching and Tucks and the other simplifies the gown without losing the French Acadian look.

Baby Slip pattern is included and features a ruffle at the hem to give fullness to the gown. The Gown is the classic 27" length. It can be lengthened or shortened as desired. The Bonnet matches the Gown.

Size: Infant (7-18 lbs.)

Price: $11.95
